This a free software for bypassing the iCloud Lock on A9 to A11 (cellular) devices.

This includes the iPhone 6s to X. You can see the full list in the Supported Devices section.

REMEMBER: iPhone X has been determined to have an issue while mounting the filesystems on iOS 16.

This will most likely be fixed in the future, but for now either use iOS 15 and below, or just bypass other devices.

The other A11 devices like iPhone 8/8 Plus don't have these issues.

NOTE: The tool does not support any devices that aren't checkm8-compatible.

The method that is used in this software does not support any non-checkm8 devices.

Please don't expect zero bugs.

The software has been debugged lots, but it doesn't mean there will be no bugs at all.

How to use Lockra1n

Important! Because Lockra1n is not publically released yet, there isn't an official link yet.

If you want to be a beta tester for Lockra1n, that would be much appreciated!

[1] Open up the app that you downloaded from here.

If you encounter the "Untrusted Developer" message, then follow the steps above to fix that issue.

Any further launching issues you should contact me about.

[2] Click the "Setup Lockra1n" button. This will make sure everything is installed and ready to go for using Lockra1n.

[3] Click the "Search for Device" button.

This will pair your device with the computer. Make sure to hit Trust on the device if prompted!

[4] Click on the "Generate Activation Files" button. It will check the registration, and generate activation tickets for your device.

If you are not registered, the tool will prompt you to do so.

If you encounter an error like "Failed to generate tickets!", then DO NOT ATTEMPT to activate! This could brick your device, which would require a restore in most cases to fix.

[5] Click on the "Bypass Device!" button.

Here, you have two options. You can stay in Normal mode (which would be normal in most cases), or if you have already entered DFU Mode, the tool will also detect your device in DFU Mode or Recovery.

In the end, you will always need to enter DFU Mode on your device. There are various ways of doing this, depending on your device.

I would recommend looking up "How to Enter DFU Mode on " and then your device model.

Example might be "How to Enter DFU Mode on iPhone 8".

The tool will mount the devices's filesystem, inject the tickets, apply some filesystem modifications, and reboot your device.

After your device turns back on, you will be on the Home Screen!

Once everything is done, your device is bypassed untethered!

A quick explanation of how Lockra1n works:

Lockra1n is based off the well-known checkm8 exploit, which is utilized when entering PwnDFU mode.

Most libraries used in this tool are from the libimobiledevice collection, a very handy set of tools for interacting with iOS Devices.

They include ideviceinfo, which is used for retrieving the device serial number and iOS version,

idevicepair, which is used for pairing the device with the Mac,

irecovery, which is used to send the iBSS, iBEC, ramdisk, and all the other files when booting the ramdisk,

ideviceenterrecovery, which is used in the Enter Recovery Mode function of Lockra1n,

gaster and ipwndfu (not part of libimobiledevice), to enter PwnDFU mode,

futurerestore, to exit Recovery mode,

sshpass (which is not part of libimobiledevice), to inject the tickets and apply filesystem modifications,

and finally, iproxy (part of libusbmuxd) to start listening for SSH commands.

The registration page was designed purely by me.

The activation tickets are generated via the server on my website.

I was originally planning on using someone else's server, but I way prefer using my own server for two main reasons:

1, because I can be assured that it won't get taken down. When using someone else's server, if they discontinued the tool, Lockra1n would stop functioning,

And 2, because I would not feel great using it without their permission. While in some cases it's OK to use a server that's publicly released,

in general I would want their permission if applicable.

These reasons make Lockra1n more secure, more reliable and more honest.

If the device does anything different such as not activating after the first reboot, not staying bypassed after a reboot

or you are unable to generate activation tickets, then there was an error while bypassing the device.
